Will the Ordering Stack kiosk application revolutionize amusement parks?
Automation and self-service are gaining popularity in the food service industry. Customers of QSR chains enthusiastically use self-service kiosks, appreciating the convenience and time savings. Will similar solutions prove effective in food outlets at amusement parks?
Poland's family attractions industry, including amusement parks, is closely observing the development of self-service in gastronomy. The Ordering Stack team, in collaboration with Samsung Electronics Poland, has engaged in a project that goes beyond the company’s everyday activities. The goal was to showcase the benefits of automating food service operations to representatives and operators of amusement parks. During the 2nd Family Attractions Forum, held this autumn in Katowice, the Ordering Stack kiosk application was showcased on Samsung’s self-service kiosks.
Why should self-service kiosks be implemented in amusement parks?
Amusement parks have been experimenting with and implementing modern technologies for years to deliver the best possible experiences to their customers. Self-service kiosks at food outlets can further streamline the operations of dining areas and enhance the quality of service.
During peak hours, especially in the high season, kiosks allow customers to place orders quickly, significantly reducing queues. This solution not only improves guest comfort but also increases service efficiency.
For park operators, it is also a way to optimize costs and better manage customer flow. Digital kiosks allow for personalized offers, which further enhances customer experiences. This technology demonstrates how innovations can transform entertainment spaces into even more modern and visitor-friendly environments.

During the event in Katowice, representatives of the family attractions industry had the opportunity to personally test the solution. The pilot was conducted using the food service offerings of Legendia Śląskie Wesołe Miasteczko, the oldest amusement park in Poland.
The self-service kiosk featuring the application prepared by the Ordering Stack team garnered significant interest from industry representatives. The solution also showcased features like the KDS (Kitchen Display System) and a Customer Screen, where ready-to-pick-up orders were displayed.
During the event, participants were introduced to the self-service concept proposed by Ordering Stack and were able to order one of the lunch menu items using the kiosk during the lunch break. Many entrepreneurs from amusement parks see this solution as support in addressing staffing shortages.
Summary
Visitors to amusement parks will undoubtedly appreciate the convenience of self-service kiosks, which shorten waiting times and improve service quality. Equipping parks with such solutions increases their innovativeness and positively influences their perception by customers, ultimately enhancing the venue’s overall attractiveness. Similar solutions are already in place in amusement parks abroad and are particularly popular in the United States.
