Implementation and integration of self-service kiosks for ordering food in KFC restaurants.
SAMEX is a company that is a franchisee of the KFC brand. It runs 29 restaurants of this brand in Bulgaria. SAMEX had been searching for a partner for over a year, looking for a proven and trustworthy partner. Everything started even before the pandemic. The main reason was the desire to relieve the queue, to allow clients to order independently, and to meet YUM standards.
The client came to Ordering Stack looking for a partner to deliver self-service kiosks – application and hardware – to their restaurants, as well as integrate with the LS Retail POS system used in the restaurants (Microsoft Dynamics ERP system).
It was important to the client that the proposed solution was reliable, worked smoothly, and supported both clients and restaurant staff. The business objective was to set up self-service kiosks for ordering in line with KFC’s global policy, to increase order volumes, and to break the queue.
As a result, Ordering Stack delivered:
- self-service kiosks for ordering food in restaurants along with payment for orders, which was supposed to provide clients with a new and safe channel to place orders and relieve the burden on restaurant workers,
- App appearance fully adapted to KFC brand standards and client expectations,
- full integration with the POS system, so there is no need for restaurant employees to rewrite orders between systems
