KFC Bulgaria – digitization and self-service in restaurants
Implementation and integration of self-service kiosks for ordering food in KFC restaurants.
SAMEX is a company that is a franchisee of the KFC brand. It runs 29 restaurants under this brand in Bulgaria. SAMEX had been searching for a partner for over a year, looking for a proven and trustworthy partner. Everything started even before the pandemic. The main reasons were the desire to relieve the queue, to allow clients to order independently, and to meet YUM standards.
The client came to Ordering Stack looking for a partner to deliver self-service kiosks—application and hardware—to their restaurants and integrate with the LS Retail POS system used in the restaurants (the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system).
The client wanted the proposed solution to be reliable, work well, and help both customers and restaurant staff. The business objective was to set up self-service kiosks for ordering in line with KFC’s global policy, increase order volumes, and break the queue.
As a result, Ordering Stack delivered:
- self-service kiosks for ordering food in restaurants along with payments for orders, which were intended to provide customers with a new and safe channel for placing orders and relieve restaurant staff,
- an application design fully tailored to the KFC brand standards and customer expectations,
- full integration with the POS system, eliminating the need for restaurant staff to re-enter orders between systems.
"From the first time Ordering Stack showed us how it worked, including how the self-service kiosks worked, we knew this was the right partner for us. This is exactly the solution and approach we were looking for! “The Ordering Stack team’s professionalism and understanding of the client’s needs, as well as their efficiency and response time, are of the highest caliber."
